According to a Harvard Business School professor, "In tough times, price cuts attract more consumer support than promotions such as sweepstakes and mail-in offers."
That may be the word on Official Street, but where I live, nothing would make me feel better (besides getting back the health insurance we lost) than to win something. What I need during this recession is a stroke of old fashioned good luck.
I thought I'd share a couple of promotions, contests and giveaways that I've either entered or plan to, just in case your spirits could use a lift too:
- To celebrate the new book, Crafty Chica's Guide to Artful Sewing: Fabu-Low-Sew Projects for the Everyday Crafter
, you can win a new Janome sewing machine and lots of other goodies. The deadline to enter is February 27, 2009.
- Cultured Expressions is sponsoring a fabric challenge. You're asked to make something with their new Mali-imported fabric for your chance to win one of seven prizes. Enter by May 31, 2009.
Good luck!
